Representative Matters – PSD’s New York and Boston Healthcare Lawyers

PSD’s Boston healthcare lawyers have represented businesses, executives and professionals in False Claims Act investigations and actions. Recently, PSD lawyers won dismissal of a False Claims Act action in federal court against a business and its executives. In other cases, PSD lawyers have helped clients avoid False Claims Act actions.

With many decades of collective experience, PSD healthcare lawyers have obtained summary judgment or other dismissals for physicians and healthcare executives.

In a Texas jury trial, PSD lawyers won a complete defense verdict defeating $60 million claims against an emergency medicine management company and its CEO. The issues in that case included EMTALA, corporate practice of medicine, non-competition matters, and other torts.

Also, PSD New York and Boston healthcare lawyers represented private equity funds and their portfolio company in a dispute against a seller. In that matter, PSD led investigative efforts uncovering secret competitive efforts. Most noteworthy, the investigation revealed that the seller of a healthcare business from the time of the sale. As a result, the clients effectively unwound the transaction.
